Abel has been involved in ministry for over 25 years and is a second-generation pastor. He founded New Concert Living Church in Mozambique in 2013, and with the help of the pastors he disciples, they have since planted over 39 churches throughout Mozambique, Malawi, and Zambia with combined congregations of over 1,500. He currently serves as Senior Pastor of his home church and Board Chairman over the churches they founded.
Prior to working with Hope of a Nation, he had also served with two well-known international ministries: Teen Missions International and Iris Global, where he worked in both a teaching capacity and as the base Co-Director for both ministries. He has over 13-years of experience as a Christian educator, teaching the fundamentals of the Bible.
After completing his general education studies in his hometown of Dondo, he earned a diploma in biblical studies from Teen Missions College and attended a 2-year missions training program in the U.S. with the same ministry.
Abel is married to his lovely wife, Amina. He has three children and two step-children and has cared for orphans for over 14 years. Currently, he and Amina care for 20 orphans in their home in Dondo, and they oversee and assist with the care of 25 others in their community. Pursuing God is Abel’s passion, and when he’s not church planting, evangelizing, or caring for Mozambique’s orphans and homeless, he can be found in prayer and intercession seeking the heart of the Father.
