Statement of Faith
We are a Christian organization consisting of people from different denominations, backgrounds, and walks of life, but we all share the following core beliefs.
We believe that...
- There is one God who exists eternally as one being in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit.
- Mankind was created in God’s image, but by sinning willfully rejected His authority and the glory for which we were intended. As a result, death, sickness, and judgement entered the world.
- Because of His great love for us, God sent His only Son, Jesus, to redeem us by reconciling us with the Father. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully man. He was then crucified for our sins unto death, was buried, and rose again on the third day. He ascended into heaven, and is alive today.
- When we repent of our sins and confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, his sacrifice applies to and covers our sins, and we are saved and reconciled to the Father.
- When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are given the gift of His precious Holy Spirit who indwells in us, sanctifies us, intercedes for us, and empowers us to live a holy life.
- The Bible, while written by man, was breathed out by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
- The spiritual gifts as described in the book of Acts are available to believers today and are used to build up and encourage the body of Christ so that we may serve one another to the glory of God.
- The ordinances of a water baptism by immersion and the taking of communion should be practiced by believers as outward expressions of their faith in Christ as their Lord and Savior.
- The Church consists of all people who put their faith in Jesus Christ, and it exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus and to further advance His kingdom by preaching and living the good news of God's love, and discipling the nations by baptizing and teaching them to love and obey God.
- Heaven and Hell are real places, and the dead will be raised to face a final judgement along with the living. Whoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to the everlasting punishment in the lake of fire, which is the second death. While those who are saved, will receive eternal life and will be rewarded for their deeds for Christ.
