Mozambique has a population of over 34 million, and it may come as a surprise that over 56% are under the age of 19, the youngest population in the world. Over two million children are orphaned by one or both parents, whose deaths were largely due to HIV, malaria, or natural disaster. Most orphans live with extended family members, but with 48% of the population living below the poverty line, the ability to adequately care for additional children is almost impossible.

Your support helps us ensure that an orphan child is well fed, has needed clothing, and has basic hygiene supplies like bath soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, and laundry soap. It also pays for their public school fees and school supplies.

The gift represented here is a good or service used in our Children's Services Programs.
