Our Executive Directors, Jason and Susan Collmorgen, who volunteer full-time in directing this ministry, were last in Africa during the summer of 2022. They will be returning in late June 2024 to stay for two (2) months to minister and work with our Mozambican team and to also visit our ministry partner in Uganda and our orphans in Zambia.
The Collmorgens will be speaking and sharing each week at our partner churches in Mozambique. Foreign guest speakers generally draw people who might not otherwise set foot in a church, so this is an amazing opportunity to share the Gospel. They’ve always seen salvations and powerful moves of God during these times. Most of these churches are located amongst people’s homes, and because of their open structure, everyone in the neighborhood can also hear what’s being preached. We pray that God will move on the hearts of many as they share!
During their stay they will be working closely with our team, checking in on all the programs and activities, identifying solutions to various challenges, planning, strategizing, teaching, and team building.
At the beginning of their trip, Jason will go to Uganda for a week to visit our ministry partner, the Siloam Mountain Junior School, an orphanage and boarding school that cares for over 600 children. We want to become more familiar with their needs and assess how we can help them become more self-sustaining through agricultural projects that will provide food and generate revenue to help meet their needs.
At the end of their stay in Africa they will travel to Zambia for a week to visit our orphans and their caretakers and to plan for the future.
